From celebrated choreographer Dana Gingras comes a new ambitious work that stretches the boundaries of the performing arts and investigates the notion of borders and operations of power by exploring their impact on the body. With music by cult Montreal post-rock band Fly Pan Am, scenography by United Visual Artists and field recordings by Dave Bryant (Godspeed You! Black Emperor), the work also features established and rising dance interpreters.

In an era of aggressive nationalism and corporate mass surveillance, the human body has never been rendered so visible and subject to invasive forms of industrial-scale oversight and processing. What space remains for the unruly, ungovernable body? In FRONTERA, 9 dancers navigate spaces of inclusion and exclusion; their bodies mapped in high resolution, their destinies unresolved. A relentlessly coherent choreographic and theatrical experience that challenges and reinvents codes.
